When I received the invitation to CP for Bloggers' Party, BIG FAT JUICY Whole Prawn CP Wantons flooded my entire brain.  Good food never fails to seduce me..... I was singing to myself "Wonton oh wonton,  我爱你!  Wonton wonton here I come!"

But I assure you that this blog post is more than wonton, GUARANTEE WORTH READING as I am going to share with you many things you may not know about CP Food!

Zoomed down to National Service Resort Country Club wearing:

We gathered at the Bowling Alley and had a few games.
Camwhored with Michelle, watching William suave his way and epic moment of CK and Darren Sim cat fighting lolxx...

I was the 洗龙沟Queen of the day with "ultimate" score of 39 points!!
Pulled down the score of my team members, we were to prepare BBQ for dinner as a punishment.  Don't blame me, I really don't know how to bowl lah.
But I was like "Huh??!!??  What BBQ?  Not cook wanton meh??"

Entering into this big resort bungalow, not aware of what's going to happen next, heehee....

It's PARTY time!!!

Never know CP have so much variety of products!

Michelle and I total love this giant CP logo, we hide our tummies behind it, yeah!

However, she didn't put it down.  She brought it to the kitchen, waahaahaaaa....
These 2 ladies from CP had prepared some ingredients for us.

Daen, the host giving us a briefing.

We were all attentive and good, heehee......

Love the bold colors on the CP apron!
Instead of wearing it to cook, I wore it to take pictures and......

to eat!!!
Holding with me Korean chicken in a cup.

One bite instantly took me back to Shinchon Street where I had my first try of Korean's chicken street food in winter.  I really don't know how to describe this, cos' delicious will be a understatement.
Nom-ing the Spicy Flavour Korean Chicken, yum yum....

You gotta grab a cup of Korean Chicken from:
Snax - JEM Basement 1-K3 (open in early June)
- Takashimaya Basement 2 (Food Hall)
Comes in 3 flavours - Spicy, Soy Garlic, Honey Lemon
Retail price: S$5.00/cup, S$7.50 with fries and drink 12oz
Image from Vibes Communications
Other items available at Snax: Crispy Soft Shell Shrimp, chicken and seafood skewers, value meals with fragrant fried rice or fries ^^

I eat Korean Chicken but never "eat snake" hor.  Below blur pic is proof, heehee......

Everybody's busy buzzing and having a great time in kitchen!  Food Bloggers knows how to eat (who doesn't, oh gosh), take photos, write reviews and COOK!!    Wooohooo.......

Never know CP food can be BBQ until we did it!!

2 green onions, chopped
1/4 cup finely chopped green pepper
¼ cup finely chopped red pepper
1/4 cup minced fresh cilantro
4 teaspoons plus 2 tablespoons lime juice, divided

4 teaspoon sugar
Dash cayenne pepper
Dash herbs

cayenne pepper and remaining salt.

Side Note:  We stolen some bites of the fish fillet without the salsa dressing and it was GOOD!!  So if you are lazy, the fish with the seasoning is sufficient as a delicious dish.  Non-greasy BBQ dish absolutely delectable for children, elders and everybody! The fish fillet can be pan-fried to achieve the same result too!

Now that I had been mentioning CP numerous times here, anybody knows what does CP stands for?

CP stands for
Charoen Pokphand
which means "Prosperity in Food" in Thai language!

It's found by the Jia brothers in 1921 as a small shop in Bangkok ^^

CP Food Bloggers' BBQ Party ended with fun games, "scrumptious" "delectable" "toothsome" quiz (these words are impossible to draw out and our brain juices were drained!!) and a memorable group pic.

The next day after the party, bought Charoen Pokphand Shrimp Wonton for my cravings.

They were just ....... mmmmmmmmmmmm......

Mini photoshot at Bukit Timah Railway

This post is a continuation from HERE.

Seriously, if not for money work, I won't travel from Tampines to Bukit Timah.  I probably wouldn't get these memorable photos taken at the Bukit Timah Railway.

I walked up the uneven slope before reaching this railway track with my 3 inches high wedges.
I must be out of my mind but thank goodness I didn't twist my ankle.

Nothing special or rather very plain jane OOTD due to work.
White polo - Bossini (it has got a cute little Marie Cat print on the left chest which can't be seen in pic)
Pink pants - Uniglo (are actually 3/4 pants but the length is good for me as long pants)
Nude wedge - PrettyFit (worn thousand and one times)
Little tote bag - Naraya (my kid sis bought it for me)

Looked as if I was waiting for a train to run over me sia.  My dear haters must disappointed that the railway is no longer operating, so I am still kicking and alive lolxx...

This railway had been around for about 80 years, but being a Singaporean, it was my first visit.

I didn't continue to explore farther due to the intensive hot weather and hunger.
My wedges weren't corporative too.

As I had mentioned earlier, we had walked up a rough slope.    It was only when we were about to leave then I started to worry about how to get down  -____-|||  The slope was full of little pebbles as seen at the railway track.  I thought of taking off my shoes but again there may be some sharp pebbles which may cut into my soles.  Hubby suggested to piggy back me but I wouldn't want to risk the both of us rolling down the slope in any case due to my weight T__T

No matter what, we need to get down before we die of hunger.  He held my hand tightly and he accommodated by walking down very slowly with me.  His sweaty palm had never let me go, even though I was the cause of this "trouble".  The sweet (although sweaty) feeling was the same as 24 years ago when he first held my hand.  His hand is damn big, I feel so small and fragile.  Holding my hand, he's holding me, the entire me.  I feel so secured and so protected.....  I know he will hold my hand and never let me go till the day one of us pass on......

Romance is not about candle light dinners, not about roses, not about Valentine's Day celebrations, not about how many times he confessed "I love you".

The most romantic thing is to grow old together, hand in hand.

Back to reality, after the torturous yet romantic down slope, we hunt for a place nearby to settle dinner.
The RailMall is a stone away from the railway which consist of a row of shop houses.
We popped into a Thai restaurant which I will blog about in another post.

Thanks for reading ^^

Rio SkinRevive Beauty Device

Technology is part of our life.  I can live without my wallet but won't know how to live a day without my PC, camera or iPhone.  But as a modern woman, I need more than these....  Had always been asked how I maintain my youth, so read on this post!

Skincare is no longer just about bottles and tubes of creams, or sheets of masks, technology is into beauty market as well.  I had knew about electric hand held beauty devices quite a few years ago from foreign magazines, but being not as updated as Taiwan or Japan, such devices are not popular in Singapore.  It's either they were too expensive or too fragile looking for my liking.

Around Jan this year, I chance upon AIBI Fitness's road show at Plaza Singapura and bought this ~~

AIBI Fitness is known for selling equipments for exercise.
Had seen their treadmills, steppers, bikes etc etc, but not sure since when they started to bring in beauty devices.

Rio SkinRevive S$238
It was the cheapest I could find after hunting for more than a year.
The other brands I had seen cost S$400 and above -____-|||
So I bought it despite of the slight heartache.

It's chargable with a 3 pin socket and it looks like a microphone, lolxx..

Rio SkinRevive caught my attention with those words on the package:
"boosts collagen naturally"
which is exactly what I need.

How it works:

Uses photomodulation with red light source to naturally boosts and increase natural collagen production in skin.  This results in a firmer, smoother and more youthful appearance.

Photomodulation is deep penetrating light therapy, which is a form of medical treatment using light-emitting diodes (as read from wikipedia)

Usage is idiot proof, place the device on skin, press button, shift to another area after 30 to 60 seconds.
The below pics were taken without filter with my iPhone.

As you can see, the rays are really strong and glaring.  I normally shut both of my eyes during usage.
Making it an exception just to take these 2 pics.

Verdict:

I use about 5 mins each time.  Easy to operate with only one on & off button, but can be troublesome as it needs to be charge after 10 mins of usage.

The red light is very strong and cannot be shine directly at the eyes.  Have to be use cautiously with eyes closed during the process.  However, the manufacturer did not include any goggles for consumers.

I had little bumps on both lower arms, the condition improve after merely one week of daily usage.

I did not take any before and after photos, but my laugh lines are fading and my face is still free of wrinkles.  My skin is definitely more firm after usage.  For those who had seen me in person, you will agree that this "investment" is totally worth it as it really has taken many years away from my face.

 May 2013

So far my skin's condition is pretty much the same as a year or 2 ago without obvious signs of aging.  I had seen many women who are more than 10 years junior than me flocks for injections (they are very proud of it   and make known to the public).   Tell me how not to feel superior that I don't need to!   Waahaahaa......

By saying so, I don't mean that I won't go for botox one day.  The day will come when I seriously cannot make it, after all I am human and I don't know witchcraft lolxx..... But currently, I still manage to look younger than my age.  I am trying to put off botox as long as time allows, making it my very very last resort.  Cos' once you start with a needle, you won't be able to discontinue.

Drinking more water, no smoking, no excessive alcohol, sufficient sleep are the basic habits we have to try and cultivate in order to look young and healthy.  But as easy as it may sounds, you may be surprised that not many people are able to practise them.   Prior to the above with external help of beauty products and devices, my secret to look young is to be - childish.  Yes, you hear me right, I am childish.   I kid around with my 15 and 12 old sons, often got bullied by them.   I don't muddle with politics, I don't like to complicate things.   To some people I may appear naive or even stupid, but I am happy ^^
