Guerlain Super Aqua-Eye

*sponsored

Had been straining my eyes as a manicurist with many late nights before Chinese New Year.

Puffiness + dark eye circles became my major concern but I have no time for fussy eye care.  I need something EASY, QUICK and EFFECTIVE.

Sephora package came just in time.
The package came looking like a puffy pillow.   Within is bubble wraps protecting my valuable merchandise.

Guerlain Super Aqua-Eye Patch S$173.00
(6 sachets X 2 patches)

Each sachet contains a pair of transparent silicon eye masks/patches.

Guerlain Super Aqua-Eye patches are paraben-free, sulfate-free and phthalate-free.
I won't compromise on my skincare, it's important that they are reliable and safe.

The patches are cooling, fits all the way to the corner of each eye.  And best of all they are ANTI-SLIP!

The eye patches moisturize, smoothen and decongest the delicate eye area with desert rose flower complex and various ingredients.  The instruction is 10mins application but I left it on about 15mins as the patches were still moist.

After removing the eye patches, I applied makeup immediately.  Most of the fine lines were eliminated, so my eye makeup glided on more smoothly than usual.  Puffiness were greatly reduced too and my eyes looked brighter.

Other eye products from Guerlain which will further enhance the effect of Super Aqua Eye Patches are:
Abeille Royale Up lifting Eye Care and Super Aqua-Eye Serum

Beauty purchases are really easy, just a click away at online Sephora.

Don't Tell Mama

Date of visit: 5.1.2017

Don't Tell Mama, a naughty name for a Korean-Mexican Fusion Bistro.
You may probably be more familiar with Chicken Up than Don't Tell Mama
Let you know here:  They are "sisters"! (as in both are under the same management.)

Back to this very special Korean-Mexican Fusion Bistro.
Yes it's hard to imagine:
Korean + Mexican = ???
You will find out soon!

Don't tell Mama is along Tanjong Pagar Road.  Not easy to spot but once found you will be like "Oh it's here!"  Just besides Chicken Up.

The wine bar counter occupies the front leaving a secretive passage way leading into darkness......(actually not too dark lolxx...)  Rustic pipe lights and raw varnished concrete walls, suggested that you can really let your hair down and relax.

My friends and I found our "territory" under a tree.
The handcrafted pallet tables are accompanied by recycled plastic crates alongside with the oil drums and tire tables, where goodies started to roll in.

And these huge ones came first:

From the left:
Summerita (Grapeful + Tequila + Soju)
Straberrita (Strawberry + Tequila + Soju)
Lycherita (Lychee + Tequila + Soju)
The frozen cocktails with Soju is S$25 each.  You may also chose Mexican or Korean Beer instead of Soju at S$22.  Other flavors available are Lime, Apple, Blueberry and Mango.

Slurp slurp slurp, nice and fruity sweet with addictive soju, slurping my way with an almost empty stomach, my friends were preparing themselves..... for me.

It's a bit challenging to take food pics in the dim, but we are professional bloggers, heeheehee.... the force are with us!  Waaahaahaaaa........

Nacho Cheese Omelette S$8.00
Eggs, cheese and chips all camouflaging each other in a plate of yellow.  This is a fun plate with cracking crisps from the chips and soft richness from cheese omelette.  Nom nom nom.... I think my kids will love this too.  Slurping more soju cocktail.....

Bulgogi Quesadilla S$14.00
Authentic Korean bulgogi generously stuffed in baked Mexican tortilla topped with melted mozzarella cheese, guacamole and sour cream.  Never know Korean and Mexican mixed can be this perfect!

Kimchi Fries S$18.00
Sauteed kimchi and soy sauce seasoned chicken on crispy fries with kimchi sauce and sour cream.  We grew up with fries, we all love fries, and the love went crazy when kimchi is added!  Need to act really fast for this, cos my girls won't wait, the whole basket was eaten up before I knew it.  This is a crowd pleaser.  Me slurping more cocktail soju, feeling part of me floating away....

Doritos Chicken S$8.00
Looking harmless here, it's volcanic level spicy!   Drinking even more cocktail soju to cool my burning mouth.  I think this was when I let loose lolxx....

Yangnyum Drumlets S$8.00
Drumlets with finger licking sweet sauce.

Fried Chicken Wings S$8.00 (for 3)
Juicy fried wings, continues to lick finger, plus lips.

Onion Bomb S$12.00
This is a OMG!!  Called Onion Bomb, but it's Onion Chrysanthemum to me, so pretty!  You may be surprise by how sweet onion can be, perfect golden thin crust covering soft melting onion is divine.  MUST ORDER!

Here comes something delightful, LIGHT BULBS!
Light Bulb Blue Lemon Frizzy Soda and Strawberry Frizzy Soda S$5++ each.

Lightbulb Drinks menu here, available in both alcohol and non-alcohol.

Really cute, so one more pic.

By the end of the tasting (and drinking) I was already drowsy.  Being such a nuisance, my friends dumped me at the road side and fled off.
Just kidding!  They hailed a cab and delivered me home lolxx.... They will never abandon me one, heeheehee.....

Heading down?  I got lobang:

Pokemon Pop-up Cafe

Date of visit:27.11.2016

Had been playing PokemonGo since day one it's launched till now.  While many said that the hype is dying down, I am the weird one who's gotten more and more addicted to the game.  Racing with time to reach a Pokemon makes my heart beat race like crazy.  Not done at Level 32, attaining the highest level with full gold medals are currently my aims.

So, anything Pokemon related automatically raise interest.   Squeezable plushes and food are fatal attractions.

I don't normally travel to town, if I do, I would make sure I kill more than 2 birds in a go.  So this day, I had my business done and decided to pop into this pop up cafe:

POKEMON CAFE.
Pop-up means temporary, the cafe was set up at the walkway at level 4 of Bugis Junction.  Felt weird, but it didn't bother once the food arrived.

Cute Pikachu crew lolxx..

Photo booth with Pikachu hood suites in various sizes which children and youngsters were having fun with.

Plushes and toys.

Slit throat prices, so won't part with my money for toys.

Waiter Pikachu on menu cover, too cute and I made many mini screams.

Alola Tea S$12.00
Potion S$12.00
This was overly sweet like cough mixture, we added water and had extra half bottle more to enjoy.

We got to bring the bottles and the key chains back, kind of make the price more justify.

Exeggutor key chain is my favorite, seriously cute.

Here's another one, only knows Pikachu.

Pika Curry Rice S$25.00
Panko-crumbed shrimp patty was pretty good.  We were surprised that the ears were actually omelette cos it's so smooth like cheese.  The Japanese curry was not too spicy, overall the plate was really filling with that load of rice.

Pika Curry Rice comes with a new mug (the same mug containing the curry sauce) for us to bring back.

I happily sold it off later to cover a bit of the damage, heehee.....

Love Pika Ketcup S$20.00
Chicken patty covered with smashed potato = Pikachu head
I have no idea how they make smash potato's surface so smooth.  It's deliciously soft and went along very well with the chicken patty.  Taste of heart shaped fried rice was decent.

Bought back this little bottle of ketcup, so cute de...

We wanted to try desserts but were too full already lolxx....

Overall, the cute and friendly young crews made our visit a very pleasant one.  We had a good time eating with our eyes and camera.
Food was really cute and taste better than I expected.  If you are a gourmet with expectations, this is not the place.  But if surrounded by Pokemons and Pikachu, taking endless photos and bringing home souvenirs makes you happy, Pokemon Cafe opens till 17 Feb 2017.

Voluntary Mission at Siem Reap, Cambodia DAY 6

This post is a continuation from HERE.

24.7.2016

It look me forever to decide whether to follow the rest of my team members to Angkor Wat Sunrise tour.   I wanted to visit the other temples which I missed, repeating the same route and waking up at 5am dreads 😴  But spending time with my niece, nephew and the children was too precious to miss, so here I went again!

The ticket sales office was moved to Charles de Gaulle Road which was near the night market we visited last night.  It's more spacious and bright but it's less convenient as it's a few km away from Angkor Wat.
Angkor Wat is as big as China Forbidden City, as such 3 days and 7days pass are available.  The one day pass I bought was USD20, price remained the same as last year.  Though the ticket office opens at 5.00am, I personally would suggest to you guys arriving around 4.30am to beat the crowd, and most importantly to be able to catch the sunrise.

We were obviously too late, the sky was already brightened.  I urged my team members to run to catch the last view of the sunrise.  But most of them were too excited by the surroundings, they stopped, took pictures and went "Waaaa......waaa......waaa....."

That very last bit of orange rays I managed to capture.

Sunrise looking like sunset here.

Still admirable despite of the second visit, it's such a spectacular historical site.

This lovely pic was taken by of the team member, 肥肥的背影 but  美美的风景 😝

Lotus.

Zoom...

We had simple breakfast over here, over ordered.

Packed some food and distributed to some of the children around who sells clothes, postcards etc..

Moving up, it got warmer and warmer as the sun rose.  A busy monkey, ignoring me and all other visitors.

Cute pic I got here.

Somebody taking a pic of me taking a pic for others lolxx...

Holy Day is probably Holiday.  Despite of the second visit, was still too lazy to climb up.

I quite enjoyed the view from below.

Exploring Angkor Wat from a different perspective....

Discovering little details that I missed out previously.
On the floor not a mouse hole but a water vent.  Ancient drainage system, I later found out.

Leaving the main temple to Ta Prohm Temple.

A fading rainbow crowning the entrance of Ta Prohm Temple.

We, young and old screamed shit when we saw a HUGE MILLIPEDE!  It's big and fat, longer than my packet of tissue! 😱  A bit 大惊小怪 but, it's our first time seeing a wild millipede >.<  I'll freak out if this appears at home lolxx...

The trees are like parents protecting the temples, yet at the same time destroying their children.

Many buildings that I had seen last year became a pile of stones on the ground.

Many parts of Ta Prohm Temple were fenced up as it's no longer safe for exploring.  I didn't expect so much changes in a year.  Now, I wouldn't be surprise that more areas will be closed by next year, sigh..... sad.

Buffaloes outside the temples.

Not that they were big deal, but I wouldn't see such vast greenery with buffaloes back in Singapore.

Angkor Wat is a lot more than what I had shown.  If you like to see more pics click HERE for my last year's visit.

On our back to the hotel.  We passed by the new ticket office.  So this is how it looks like.

Back to the hotel, freshened up, selfie taken at Blue Pumpkin at Pub Street,
Sivatha Road, Krong Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Selfies are always portraits the best.  In reality:
After selfie lolxx...  Not sure what happened but their service was never so slow.  The food took forever to come, so I snoozed......

Lunch, last meal in Siem Reap.  Had Korean rice which didn't taste korean, but was ok.

Dessert, apple pie with a scoop of ice cream, it tasted as good as it looked.
I would say Blue Pumpkin is one of the best place to eat and chill in Pub Street.  They have quite a good selection of dishes, click HERE for more.  After lunch was time to pack up and go.

A quick snap of Siem Reap International Airport's exterior before the van drove in.

The airport, clean and bright.  It's a big contrast to most of the areas in Siem Reap.  Our local friends Chhaey together with his wife and baby flew back with us for a visit.
2 hours of flight, we were transported back to Singapore.  My homeland is amazing to my friends, just the way how Siem Reap took my breath away.  I left a piece of me over there, hope to be back again, if not, will still be supporting Inspiring Stars in any way I can.

So now, I'll be starting to run through my album of Macao and HongKong, hope to post up soon!
